It was just like old times yesterday, when we dusted her off, got rid of some rust and "juiced those creaking joints," braided the mane and tail and polished her chestnut coat. Super Sega never lets me down and this weekend was no exception. Her first rated horse show since June 2010, and only her second show since then, she rose to the occasion and strutted her stuff. As my trainer aptly put it, "when the mare goes we are having a State Funeral." At the ripe old age of 17, she clearly still has it.
Thank you lovely girl for being mine and being so special. Life is about those memories that we will always have, like the ones made this weekend!
