We ventured north last week, to West Point, and saw the infamous Army Mules, up close and personal. If you aren't familiar with the history of the Mule, the Army mascot (not the West Point mascot), you can read about them here, a post from September 2012.
Army played Stanford (#5 in the country) but gave a respectable showing. It was a good game. Bet Stanford never heard repeated canon fire during a football game, (a West Point tradition).
The next day we ventured over to see the mules at rest. They are well cared for, fat and happy.
Love to horse trailer with the mules' names....... very nice touch.
That's hubby, the West Point grad, Army Ranger, Pathfinder, the real deal.....
Wow, the mules are neat! I have never gotten to see them. Love the big "A" shaved into their butts - there's no mistaking who THEY belong to.
ReplyDeleteI do wish the riders would wear helmets. Not like the Army doesn't stress safety, so I don't quite get that.
Your hubby is very clearly ex-military. I'd recognize that posture anywhere!
