The unseasonably warm weather brought more than just sunshine and green grass this week. The twenty or so cows that live on the farm this time of year decided to calve about two weeks early. This young one was a twin (rare) and her mother decided she liked the other twin better and discarded this cute one. She was bottle fed and then moved to the owner's farm where he can feed her twice a day. Cute isn't she? She is less than 24 hours old here. There have been seven born so far including the twins and all are heifers. Even the twins are heifers which is really rare I am told. You go girls!
