Ready to Tailgate?

It's fall.  You can feel it in the air.  The US Open just ended.  NFL now hoards four nights on prime time television.  Leaves are starting to turn and the grass (maybe) has decided not to grow an inch a week.  But you know what else fall brings?  Tailgating.  College football games, steeplechase races, and late afternoon parties - no better way to spend time with family, friends and even perfect strangers.

What to wear?  What to bring?  How to stand out?  Well, I'm not an expert on the subject but I'll throw out a few ideas that maybe will help.

Start with a really great car.  Not over the top.  Must be functional and large enough for a tailgate.

The Range Rover Evoque comes to mind. It's new.  Cool looking, fits in great in the country or in a parking lot.  

If you can't find one of the Range Rover's, go with a Q3 by Audi.  Love the size, great for two couples but not too big.  I hate big cars.

 

What to wear?  I went to one of my favorite places and picked out a few outfits.  Much depends on the weather, where you are, time of day, etc.  Monkee's of the Village is just the best. Look them up on Facebook.  Call them about any of these lovely outfits.

Okay, so what else can you take to stand out or be really handy?  Can't ever go wrong with an Hermes blanket.

How about some very tasteful shades.  Hats are so Kentucky Derby, but you better protect those eyes, we don't need an extra trip to the surgeon.  These Tory Burch shades are also from Monkee's.
