Super Sale Picks

This is the time of year when I peruse the shoes, clothing and handbags that I love but can never afford, when the prices get alarmingly low on some major league fashion brands.  While I try to shop less and buy better brands that will last a lifetime, I don't do it as much as I should.  But right now a 60 to 70 percent off, you can add some wardrobe staples, special shoes and bags that will literally make an outfit for years to come.  You can't beat the quality either in these picks.

When I buy higher end clothing, still try to stick to my classic roots, tending away from trendy items that won't be wearable in a few years.  Here are some of my picks:

This Jil Sander jacket is a bit pricey even greatly reduced but this one will be a wardrobe favorite for years to come.  Love this! 

This Rosetta Getty dress is an astonishing 80 percent off, reduced from $1400 to $278. The model is 5'9 and wearing a size 2 so it's not going to be this short on most of us. It's made of satin jacquard.

Celebrate America

I don't think we appreciate freedom anymore and we should all celebrate our nation's birth which gave us the freedom that we have.  July 4th should be a special event every year and it's not.  Change that!  Celebrate!  Make it a big deal but better yet, learn to appreciate what we have in this country.  We aren't living in Cuba, Venezuela, Syria, or North Korea.  We should be all be thankful!

Horses and Shoes - Malone Souliers

If you could design fabulous shoes and be a world class equestrian, you might be Mary Alice Malone who co-founded Malone Souliers with Roy Luwolt in 2014.  While Malone departed the brand in 2018 for a few months and later returned, the shoe line is still pumping out luxury shoes that appeal to teenagers and grandmothers alike.  Sales seem to be skyrocketing but you can see why......

The shoes are expensive but can be found right now on sale at Net-a-Porter, Bergdorf's, Shopbop and other places, they are classic enough to be worn for years. I love the flats with the bows - perfect for dress up.

Keep on eye on this one - and the story is a good one.
