Friday Finds and Musings

It's been a long week and my heart goes out to the connections of Omaha Beach - he was clearly the horse to beat in the Derby but at least they did the right thing by taking him out and he should be back at the races later in the summer.

The Derby is wide open now - Baffert could win with his three, Tacitus is in there, Maximum Security is the unknown, Code of Honor, Win Win Win - who knows what will happen tomorrow evening so stay tuned!

Friday is finally here and we are dishing out spring and summer in a big way.  Getting the patio ready for summer, painting the upper deck, getting the yard in order.  It's a busy time.  And there are a few horse shows in between.

Here are a few Friday Finds for this first Friday in May.

1) Talbots Love 
While I don't shop much at Talbots these days (their clothes are too boxy for me) I like some of their spring clothes like this multi-functional denim dress.  It's a go anywhere dress for sure.

The Audrey Gingham Shell is so adorable.  

And I can picture a curvy Sophia Loren in this dress waltzing down the Italian Riviera.

2) Essex Sweaters

Riding appareal is not just for riding anymore.  The quality in these sweaters is incredible and they will look great with breeches and with jeans in the city. Love the classic look and these colors!  See them here.

3) Julia Reed's New Book

This is on my "to buy" list.  Can't wait to get it.  See it here.

4) Horse Needlepoint Pillows
