2013 Breeders Cup - And They're Off (Tomorrow)

Saturday, November 2nd is one of the best days of the year if you are a racing fan. It's a day you pray for bad weather (except at Santa Anita) so that you can spend a guilt-free day sitting in front of the television watching racing from 1 pm until 9 pm.  I won't be watching thanks to DISH Network who casually decided that it's subscribers would rather have the shopping channels than a major network, yes we no longer have access to NBC.  But nevertheless, I can read about it all on The Blood Horse.

 

 

There are a few good story lines that NBC is certain to latch on to:  will trainer Bob Baffert finally win the Classic, the only race he hasn't won?  Will jockey Jerry Stevens continue his incredible return to racing with a few wins thus securing his entry into the Hall of Fame? I'm certain there are many others.  And Santa Anita is the perfect spot this time of the year.

 

If you can't be there in person then you can look like you were, and shop off the expanded website.  Am loving these Barbour coats complete with BC logo.
