Sheltering in Place in Style

The pandemic has wrecked havoc in many people's lives and has changed the way we work, eat, travel and live.  And because almost all of us won't be commuting to work, going to parties, sporting events or even visiting our families anytime in the near future, we've quit wearing most of the clothing in our closets.  Sheltering in place has created a new demand for comfortable clothing, that can be washed at home.  We'll need clothing that we can work in, garden in, cook in - sheltering in place style.

Because I am planning to spend the spring and summer outside on the farm, in my garden, on the patio or out trimming fence lines, my hat collection is growing.  I adore this hat which can be purchased with different ribbons (you have 16 from which to choose). Who says sheltering can't be chic and sensible?

(Hat)
I've been a fan of sun shirts for years and they keep making them better and cuter.  From the solid front zip styles found at Dover Saddlery to the more traditional riding model from Tailored Sportsman to this really fun printed top here you can look good, protect yourself from the sun and be cool.  You can ride in these, run, play golf, tennis or just veg.

And it comes in two additional colors:

If you must wear sweatpants, then try out these from Nike which are made from sustainable materials.

Love this simple t-shirt from Vineyard Vines (that also protects up to 50 upf).  See it here.

Pair this funnel neck sweater from Vineyard Vines with white jeans and tennis shoes for a very classic casual look.  And it is greatly reduced.  See it here.

The tennis shoes also keep getting cuter and cuter like these from Loveshackfancy and Superga.  How cute are these?  See them here.

Or these platform sneakers?   See them here.

And I love this Lilly dress, also UPF 50+, for outdoor wear.  Pair it with a pair of sneakers and a cute straw hat.  Lilly never goes out of style.
